Heartworm Prevention
Probem: Mosquitoes that may be infected can bite your pet and give them Heartworm Disease!
Please have your pet tested and if it does not have heartworms, begin a monthly heartworm prevention program.
Heartworms are a very serious issue for both dogs and cats because infected mosquitoes can bite your pet and transmit the Heartworm larvae into the skin and enter the blood stream.

These
larvae find their way to the heart chamber and grow into larger
"spaghetti-like" organisms throughout the heart tissue and chamber walls
and can seriously damage heart function causing serious health issues
and even death if not caught in time.If caught in time, it can be treated.
A simple Heartworm Test must be performed to determine if your pet has been infected PRIOR to being put on a monthly Heartworm Prevention program which is aimed at killing the Heartworm larvae.
Preventing Heartworms is better than expensive treatment or very expensive surgery options.
